
Calling all educators.
Are you a teacher, speech language pathologist, school psychologist, administrator, or private tutor and feel like you need more support in the Science of Reading? Maggie is a certified speech language pathologist, certified Orton Gillingham teacher, and completed her clinical doctorate at Kansas University with a primary focus of dyslexia and implementation science. She currently sits on the executive board for The Reading League Missouri branch and has been involved in the state of Illinois’ initiative to pass legislation for dyslexia in the schools. As an adjunct professor, she understands how to teach, coach, and encourage.

In-service
Maggie has provided in-services for school districts in both Illinois and Missouri on the Science of Reading. She has also presented at conferences, been published in the ASHA Leader, participated in professional discussions panels on dyslexia and developed webinars. In-service topics have included phonological awareness, diagnosis of dyslexia, the influence of language on learning to read, and how to implement the Science of Reading in the classroom.

Private Practitioner
Individuals in private practice, including reading specialists and speech language pathologists, have benefited from in-services and mentoring provided by Maggie. Support can come in the form of identification, diagnosis, and/or treatment.
